L'Arsenal, in collaboration with the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, is launched a competition for emerging artists. Entitled Les Ateliers, the competition took the form of accelerated training sessions (master classes) with established professionals. From the entries received, six emerging artists were selected to take part in the competition. Les Ateliers aimed at enabling the six artists to develop their creative process and be better prepared for a professional career. The artists selected will have the opportunity to create a body of work under the mentorship of well-known artists and subsequently critiqued by influential figures in the Quebec art world. The entire program will spanned two months, from Jan 21st to March 15th. The List of mentors included; David Altmejd, Cynthis Girard, Marc Seguin, Francois Morelli, Bettina Hoffman, Isabelle Hayeur, Jean-Pierre Gauthier.
